OPEN CALL: Artistic Residencies Reconnection 2.0



Qendra Multimedia [Prishtina] and Heartefact Fund [Belgrade] are thrilled to invite you to apply for artistic residencies that will be implemented within the joint platform Reconnection 2.0, financed by the European Union and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo.

Artistic residencies Reconnection 2.0 aim to serve as spaces for artists of various fields (literature, acting, music, visual arts, costume design, choreography, etc.), to reflect and produce new works during a one-month stay in the respective countries.

Up to four artists will benefit from this phase of the call: 2 artists from Kosovo will be awarded a one-month residency in Serbia each whereas 2 artists from Serbia will be awarded a one-month residency in Kosovo each.

During their one-month stay in Kosovo, respectively in Serbia, it is expected by each artist to create new works as well as collaborate closely with staff from Qendra Multimedia and Heartefact fund in their existing programs.

Who is eligible to apply?

Artists of all fields over the age of 20, from Kosovo and Serbia, are eligible to apply. [literature, acting, music, visual arts, costume design, choreography, etc.]

***Artists from Kosovo interested in the one-month residency in Serbia, should apply by submitting a CV and a letter of motivation at: info@qendra.org. Under the subject: Serbia / Artistic Residencies Reconnection 2.0.

***Artists from Serbia, interested in the one-month residency in Kosovo, should apply by submitting a CV and a letter of motivation at: prijava@heartefact.org. Under the subject: Kosovo / Artistic Residencies Reconnection 2.0.

Friday, April 30, 2021 at 23:59.

When will the residencies take place?

***Residents are expected to be in Kosovo, respectively in Serbia between June and December. Precise dates of each one-month residency for four beneficiaries will be decided upon in agreement with each beneficiary once the selection process is finalized.

What does Artistic Residency Reconnection 2.0 cover:

Artistic Residency Reconnection 2.0 includes:

  • A one-month stay in Kosovo, respectively in Serbia.
  • Travel Costs
  • Accommodation Costs
  • A basic stipend for personal expenses during their stay.
  • One promotional event of the work of the artist in general and work produced during the residency in particular.
