In March, Qendra Multimedia will host a rich theater program not only in ODA Theatre in Prishtina but also in other local theaters in Kosovo. Aside from its in-house productions, Qendra will also host guest performances from other partner theaters.
During this month, Qendra Multimedia will also start rehearsals for the new theatre project Handke Project. Artists from Kosovo, Italy, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania will meet for a week in Prishtina for research and a series of discussions that will inform the new production.

In Five Seasons: An Enemy of the People
03 March 2022, “Avdush Hasani” Theatre, Podujevë
Written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj, the play “In five seasons: an enemy of the people” talks about “the hero compromised by the majority” and about “the responsibility of the majority as an enemy of truth and freedom” (Ibsen, via Stockman). Moreover, this play also talks about the hypocrisy of the UN’s peace missions who, in the name of political stability, peace, development, and reconstruction, turn a blind eye to Dr. Stockmanns, consequently becoming complicit in their murder.

Written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Agon Myftari, in the play “Audience by Vaclav Havel” the authoritarian state has established a bizarre bureaucratic system, a Babylon tower of papers and regulations, laws and amendments, decisions, articles, annex-decisions and annex-articles… just like some hermetic spider’s web, that is used to blackmail, to set traps, accuse and divest from any position or human dignity anyone that the state wants to, especially the disobedient and those who refuse to join this system.

Written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj, the play “The return of Karl May” confronts the audience with the almost demonizing approach taken by Western Europe towards the East – an assumed cultural, political and intellectual superiority – which, according to Aleksandar Hemon is deeply rooted in colonialism and racism.

Written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Katharina Cromme, the play “King Lori” is produced by the collaboration between Zürcher Institut für bewegende Künste; Qendra Multimedia dhe Kleintheater Luzern. The origin and ‘credibility’ of the street. Songs and debates. Power and media. Followers on social media and elections. King Lori – Instagration is a play for two imaginary characters; Loredana and Ylfete. Through music and debate, the play sheds light to the controversial dynamics of the music star, Loredana and successful politician, Ylfete. Both from Lucerne, both with immigrant background. But, creators of this performace, however insist that these characters are imaginary. Just like in a fairytale, Netflix, or Instagram.
Marxist-Leninists of Switzerland
21 March 2022, ODA Theatre, Prishtina
Written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj, the play “Marxists-Leninists of Switzerland” a production of “Adriana” Theatre – Ferizaj, is a police comic story about this group of idealists who, from the Swiss underground, organize and initiate the Kosovo war, form a military alliance with NATO, and then establish the state of Kosovo. This comedy speaks about a mysterious world of the Albanian underground movement in Switzerland, where police persecution, bombings, fundraisings, and the organization of war face the ‘neutrality’ of the Swiss life.
