Inspired by the Night of Solidarity 2025 taking place in Paris and across France, Qendra Multimedia will bring “Poetic Consultations” to the Retirement Home in Pristina on January 23, 2025.
On this day of solidarity, our actors Albulena Kryeziu Bokshi, Aurita Agushi, Adrian Morina, and Armend Smajli will spend time with the elderly residents of the Retirement Home in Pristina, engaging in conversations, sharing poetry, and singing with them.
Poetic Consultations is a new practice of rethinking the relationship between the public and actors, imagined by the Director of the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, and author Fabrice Melquiot. These consultations are individual conversations with an artist. Each consultation takes place around a table: it begins with a free conversation and ends with the artist reading or singing a poem or song specifically chosen for the individual. At the end of the consultation, the participant receives a personalized poem or song in the form of a “poetic prescription.”
Conceived in January 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the practice of Poetic Consultations has now spread to more than 18 countries worldwide and continues to bring together artists from across the globe. To date, over 250 artists from 28 different nationalities have joined the ensemble known as the Troupe de l’Imaginaire.
Qendra Multimedia introduced this practice to Pristina for the first time in May 2024, in collaboration with Théâtre de la Ville in Paris (France), Teatro della Pergola in Florence (Italy), and Teatro São Luiz in Lisbon (Portugal).
