Through the open call for Artistic Residencies Reconnection 2.0 within the Reconnection 2.0 project funded by the European Union, managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by Qendra Multimedia (Prishtina) and Heartefact Fund (Belgrade), two artists, Marija Kalabic and Anja Drjlevic have each benefited a one-month artistic residency in Prishtina which they have been implementing during May 2022. The set designer Marija Kalabic and the actress Anja Drljevic are currently working on the theatre project The Handke Project.
Marija Kalabić was born in 1972 in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2006, she completed her studies for Architecture in the University of Belgrade. She’s been working in set design since 1997 and has designed over 150 sets for various theatre productions. In 2003, she became a member of ULUPUDS (Serbian Association of Designers and Applied Arts). She has worked on several exhibitions and worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture within the University of Belgrade between 2005-2016. Since 2008, she has been working at the National Theatre of Subotica.
Anja Drjlević was born in 1993 in Niksić, Montenegro. She completed her acting school at the Academy of Scenic Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has worked on a few theatre shows and films produced in the region. Currently, she lives and works in Belgrade.
