Onda - French Office for Contemporary Performing Arts Circulation, launched a thematic cycle entitled “Collaborating in context” for the 2022-2023 season. This cycle is launched in partnership with Qendra Multimedia (Kosovo) and Lokomotiva (North Macedonia), as well as venues in France (Festival d'Automne à Paris, Théâtre Jean Vilar in Vitry-sur-Seine, Atelier de Paris / CDCN, Villette, Avant-Scène Cognac, Vaguement compétitifs). Bringing together artists, programmers and researchers, the cycle consists of 3 meetings, two in France (Paris & Cognac) and one in Prishtina and Skopje. These meetings serve as spaces to reflect on and discuss different modalities of collaboration which take into account the realities of one’s context and the way each context influences the creation, circulation and reception of artworks.
The 3rd and last meeting of this cycle will take place in Prishtina and Skopje from 17 through 23 April, where the participants will be immersed in the different contexts of these 2 cities, guided by the knowledge and experience of Qendra Multimedia (Kosovo) and Lokomotiva (North Macedonia).
Around 25 guests from France, North Macedonia, Germany and other countries associated to ONDA – through shows and discussions with artists and artistic collectives - will have the chance to interact with the Kosovo theatre scene in Kosovo. Among the shows that will be presented within this occasion are Qendra Multimedia’s The Handke Project, Florent Mehmeti’s performance/audio walk Trails of the ‘90s Underground Culture…, Integra’s I Am My Own Wife ; a.y.l.a.n produced by the City Theatre of Gjilan as well as Qendra Multimedia’s The Sworn Virgin.
