On July 23, our show The Handke Project will be performed at Teatro Adelaide Ristori in Italy as part of the 31st edition of Mittelfest.

The Italian premiere of our show - an open critique to Peter Handke, the Nobel Prize for Literature laureate who is known for his controversial positions as a denier of the genocide in Srebrenica - coincides with the 27th anniversary of the genocide against 8372 Bosniak civilians in Srebrenica.

The Handke Project is a theatrical performance about the writer who with his books and opinions has fabricated and overturned facts of the wars in former Yugoslavia; has incited and supported ‘the scorched earth’ ideology; as well as managed to sing praises to militant poets and filmmakers converted into ‘engineers of genocidal projects.’
