Qendra Multimedia’s production 'PRISHTINA. The Premeditated Killing of a Dream' will be presented on 30 and 31 October 2026 at 8:00 PM at Alte Reithalle in Aarau, Switzerland, as part of the programme of Bühne Aarau, a prominent Swiss institution dedicated to contemporary theatre and performance.
The play is written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj. The cast includes Adrian Morina, Shpëtim Selmani, Kushtrim Qerimi, Verona Koxha, and Afrim Muçaj.
Following the performance on 30 October, the audience will have the opportunity to take part in a conversation with the production team. The presentation in Switzerland is particularly significant due to the large Albanian community living there, creating a space for encounter between us, the Swiss audience, and our diaspora there.
'PRISHTINA. The Premeditated Killing of a Dream' creates a space for reflection on the importance of architecture, urban planning, and responsibility towards the city. Through the story of Rexhep Luci and the transformation of post-war Prishtina, the production offers a contemporary perspective on an issue that remains relevant today: how cities develop, whom this development serves, and what consequences it leaves on the spaces in which we live.
Rooted in a story closely connected to Prishtina, the play takes on a more universal dimension, inviting audiences to reconsider our relationship with the city, public space, and our collective responsibility for its future.
'PRISHTINA. The Premeditated Killing of a Dream' has been presented in Kosovo and on international stages. In a review published by Kosovo 2.0, the production is described as “a profound theatrical testimony — a story, an accusation, and perhaps an attempt at reparation.”
The production is part of the project “Future Narratives for Planet Earth,” supported by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme. Project partners include UniT Graz (Austria), Het Nieuwstedelijk (Belgium), Theater Bellevue (the Netherlands), CESIE ETS (Italy), and other European partner institutions.
