For its upcoming theater project, 'Six Against Turkey', to be produced in Fall 2024, Qendra Multimedia is looking for professional Turkish actors.  

Basic application requirements:

* Be fluent in Turkish and have a good level of communication in English;

* Be available to work in the production from August 20 to November 15, 2024;

* Be available to perform additional shows after the premiere, (dates to be arranged) in 2024 and 2025.

**Actors can be based in Turkey or any other country in Europe.

** In addition to a honorarium, the production will cover travel, accommodation and food costs.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

'Six Against Turkey' is a theater initiative that seeks to explore the degradation of democracy and the rise of the populist-nationalist regimes and authoritarianism in Europe. This new project follows Qendra’s recent successful tour of Balkan Bordello (which played across South Eastern Europe and at New York’s La MaMa theatre), and of The Handke Project, in which a pan-European ensemble navigate the delicate balance between free speech and social responsibility in theatre, through the prism of controversial Nobel laureate Peter Handke. Qendra's most recent production "Negotiating Peace" has been touring Europe since 2023. Six Against Turkey will be directed by Qendra’s Blerta Neziraj. She has directed shows in Kosovo and Internationally. Her productions for Qendra Multimedia have been touring in Europe as well as in the USA.
