The main focus of our organization is on dramaturgy and contemporary theatre. Qendra produces and co-produces cultural activities for all ages and its activities are spread internationally. Artistic exchanges with international partners are crucial in the work of Qendra Multimedia.
Qendra was established by a group of young artists, which aimed at creating an alternative form of art production, by influencing the cultural policies and addressing sensitive political and social issues through art. Therefore here, culture and art, are used as a tool to clearly address and imagine the political and social issues.
Since 2002, Qendra Multimedia has organized and facilitated more than 100 artistic projects in Kosovo, but as well as in other places in Europe, Asia and Africa. Some of the main long-term projects that we have initiated and developed by ourselves or in cooperation with our partners, are: International Literature Festival polip; Forum Theatre in Kosovo; New Politics of Solidarity; Kosovar History; Play for All; Balcan Can Contemporary; Writer-in-residence program “Prishtina has no river” etc.
